This is our time to shine together,

Not to scatter,

It is our time to do

What God has always asked us to do

It is our time to rise

With our faith in God

No matter who doesn’t believe.

 

It our time to finally break out

From our separate worlds

And begin to care

As much like God

As we can.

Our Friend, Alieghya R. Clark, who wrote this poem was killed May 28, 2006 by a rapist killer who is now serving a life sentence without parole. She wrote these lines on September 30, 2001, when she was 17 years old. All rights to this poem are retained by Alieghya's friends and family.
